William Y Zakroff, CEO and Board Manager

…. Co-founder with over 30 years experience in the global energy business. He has been a serial entrepreneur and management consultant since founding the Zakroff Group in 1984. In addition, Mr. Zakroff has been active for many years as a financial advisor and investor on numerous venture capital projects including several involving the design and manufacture of subsea equipment, offshore engineering and construction, and ROV services. He is also a co-founder and Board member of Smart OES, a clean tech venture that provides power monitoring and measurement systems for non-residential buildings and is an Advisory Board member of Ingenero Inc., a Mumbai based process engineering company serving the global petrochemical industry. From 2007-2015, Mr. Zakroff served as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Hardide plc, an Oxford based industrial coatings company traded on the AIM / London Stock Exchange. Mr. Zakroff began his career with the General Electric Company where he held various positions in strategic planning, international business development, ventures, and general management. He received his BS in Chemistry from the University of New Mexico and an MBA with Distinction from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

James E Adamson, PE, CTO and Board Manager

……Co-Founder with overall responsibility for engineering and technical matters.  Mr. Adamson has over 40 years experience in the marine and subsea industries.  After a tour in the US Navy Submarine Service, his university training prepared the way for a career that has spanned more than 4 decades in progressive engineering and executive management positions.  He has been responsible for the design and manufacture of surface vessels and a broad range of underwater remotely operated vehicles (ROV’s), as well as numerous special projects in underwater tooling, manipulators, vehicle handling systems, and subsea structural systems.  Mr. Adamson is a recognized world authority in underwater cable seabed burial system design and holds patents on numerous devices including a steering device for a subsea cable plow, a heave compensation system for launch and recovery of subsea vehicles and tools, and US and international patents for the DeepDriver piling hammer.  He also provides engineering consulting services to several well known oilfield and defense companies.  Mr. Adamson received a BS in Mechanical Engineering with highest honors from Georgia Institute of Technology and an MS in Ocean Engineering with a fluid mechanics specialty from Florida Atlantic University.

David J. DeCourt, COO and Board Manager

……Overall responsibility for operations on and offshore. Mr. DeCourt has 25 years of experience in Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) support and operations in the offshore oil and gas industry. David started his career as an offshore electronics technician at Oceaneering in 1994, where he was promoted to ROV systems tech, ROV Supervisor, Logistics Coordinator, Operations Manager, and finally to Electronics and Piloting Instructor at the Oceaneering Training Center. David then moved to Stolt Offshore as the Technical Manager for North American and Mexico, and later took over as the ROV manager for that region. David’s background is strongest in ROV Operations, Subsea Tooling, Subsea Tooling Design, Offshore Project Support, and he also holds certifications in industrial control system design and programing. Mr. DeCourt is currently the founder, President and CEO of Xtreme Service Group Inc. DBA DeepWater Rental and Supply. DeepWater, located in New Iberia, LA, is a subsea tooling and project support service company focusing on ROV Tooling rentals, Sales, Design, Waterjet services and Fabrication of specialty tools and equipment.
